WHO WE ARE

We are a coalition of labor and civic engagement groups advocating for fair and ethical AI and other technology when it impacts important decisions in regular people’s lives.

Billionaire tech CEOS DON’T PLAY BY THE SAME RULES

Big Tech makes $$$ using the latest and most secretive AI to violate the lives and laws in Colorado.

They get away with breaking the law by buying politicians with their SuperPACs, funding ballrooms and dodging the courts and regulators that provide accountability.

AI HARMS COLORADANS

Job seekers are often screened by AI systems that can replicate biases against people based on race, gender, age, disability, etc., favoring younger white male candidates over other applicants, even with identical qualifications. Workday is facing a class action lawsuit for its human resources software discriminating against older job candidates.

AI used by health insurers routinely deny claims for treatment doctors have recommended for their patients, even though many of them are erroneous and illegal. Denials harm patients, who then either have to go through a long and costly appeals process that they might not survive – or pay out of pocket, unaffordable for most of us.

Uber and Lyft pulled out all the stops lobbying against a 2025 bill in Colorado that was designed to protect riders from physical and sexual assault, including background checks for drivers, banning drivers from offering passengers food and drink, and allowing video recording of rides.

WE NEED REGULATION

Tech corporations undermine everyday Coloradans by using technology that spies on us to charge more for the things we buy online and discriminates against people based on race, disabilities and more.

It’s time for tech companies to disclose when AI is influencing major decisions, and those violating our laws must face real consequences, regardless of how wealthy or well-connected they are.
